Pawsistent

As a veterinarian, I have long worked to facilitate and develop communication with pet owners. Studies from human healthcare have shown that about 40 to 80 percent of what is said during a clinic visit is forgotten or does not reach the listener at all. Lack of communication can be a time thief for both the pet owner and in the daily work at the veterinary clinic, if it leads to uncertainties about what the animal suffers from, what diagnosis has been made, or what treatment should be given. Above all, it can risk leading to the animal not receiving the best possible care.

My vision is that each Pawsistent app should be a simple and present assistant for pet owners who want to keep track of daily care between vet visits - especially in chronic conditions where treatment may need to be adjusted over time. Through the possibility of creating PDF files, it is also possible to provide a veterinarian with data on how the animal has felt and how it has been cared for over time. By you as the pet owner owning the information, you also get increased continuity in monitoring your animal's health status and medication.

The person behind this site is Boel Sandros, a licensed veterinarian who has also worked extensively with communication and web-based education, among other things.
